The front cover features a striking color-blocked layout, dominated by a vibrant red top banner displaying the main title BEST CARTOONS in bold white seriffed lettering, alongside the yellow Crest Book crown emblem in the upper left and the original 25c price tag in the upper right. A blue accent strip directly beneath the title reads SELECTED BY THE EDITORS OF TRUE, THE MAN'S MAGAZINE. The main white cover panel showcases a classic single-panel gag illustration by VIP depicting a hospital room scene where a bedridden patient points his finger like a pistol at a startled nurse, enhanced by spot color fills in yellow, red, and blue.
