Executive's comic book

Published in the United States by Macfadden Books, Executive's Comic Book is an essential vintage paperback cartoon collection created by the legendary artistic duo Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder, best known as founding creators of MAD magazine and Little Annie Fanny. Carrying catalog number 50-159 and originally priced at 50 cents, this landmark volume collects stories featuring Goodman Beaver, a naive, optimistic character used by Kurtzman and Elder to parody mid-century corporate ambitions, popular culture trends, and comic book conventions.

The front cover features a bold yellow top field framing the postage-stamp style Macfadden Books logo in the upper left corner and a matching stamp icon in the upper right reading NOT APPROVED COMICS 50c, along with catalog code 50-159. The bold title EXECUTIVE'S COMIC BOOK is prominently displayed, with COMIC BOOK in massive red block letters outlined in black. The central illustration depicts Goodman Beaver in a red superhero suit labeled GOODMAN flying over a city skyline while carrying a blonde woman in a yellow swimsuit, complete with a speech bubble reading BY HARVEY KURTZMAN AND WILL ELDER. A yellow angled block at the bottom right announces featuring GOODMAN BEAVER. Inside, the book contains full-length comic stories filled with Will Elder's famous visual detail, background jokes, and sharp cultural satire. An essential centerpiece collectible for vintage comic paperback collectors, MAD magazine archivists, and classic cartoon illustration enthusiasts.
