Hey B.C.

Published in the United States by Crest Books, a division of Fawcett Publications, Hey! B.C. is an entertaining vintage paperback collection featuring the celebrated syndicated comic strip B.C., created by award-winning American cartoonist Johnny Hart. First launching in 1958, B.C. became an international newspaper staple thanks to its unique prehistoric setting, clever modern satire, deadpan philosophical dialogue, and expressive minimalist line drawing. This edition includes a notable foreword written by legendary cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, creator of Peanuts.

Featuring an off-white softcover design, the top displays the main title HEY! B.C. in bold, hand-drawn black lettering, accompanied by the creator credit by Johnny Hart in orange print. The top left corner shows the Crest Book crown emblem with catalog number s478, while the top right lists the original 35c cover price. The center showcases a full-color four-panel comic strip depicting a caveman sculpting a figure out of sand on a beach, admiring his work, and reacting as a wave crashes over it. Below the comic strip, orange tagline typography reads THE WILDLY IMPROBABLE HISTORY OF A STONE-AGE ADVENTURER, followed by Foreword by Charles M. Schulz creator of Peanuts in black print. Inside, the pages gather classic multi-panel black-and-white comic strips filled with Stone Age gags and timeless humor. An essential centerpiece collectible for vintage comic paperback collectors, syndicated comic strip archivists, and fans of Johnny Hart.
