La força del tray

Published in Spain by Viena Edicions, Cesc: La força del traç is an essential monograph dedicated to the life, technique, and celebrated artistic output of Cesc (Francesc Vila i Rufas), one of Catalonia's most influential caricaturists, painters, and graphic artists. Renowned for his poignant social observation, minimalist yet highly expressive ink lines, and gentle irony, Cesc captured the atmosphere of mid-to-late 20th-century urban life with extraordinary sensitivity and graphic clarity.

The front cover features a clean white background dominated by a black ink architectural drawing depicting stark modern apartment blocks, power lines, an electrical pylon, and a street lamp. In the upper right corner, the handwritten-style signature CESC appears alongside the title LA FORÇA DEL TRAÇ in reddish-pink capital letters. Along the lower left margin, the publisher imprint reads VIENA EDICIONS in classic serif typography. Inside, the volume is filled with high-quality reproductions of Cesc's ink drawings, satirical cartoons, preparatory sketches, and insightful commentary. An essential centerpiece collectible for Catalan art archives, illustration book collectors, and fine drawing reference libraries.
